'Light to the shadow side' is a performance i've completely produced my self, including; Dance, Light design and a sound piece in which i also sing.
The dance is based on an investigation in impulsive movements in relation to negative emotions like sadness, anger and fear.
The sound piece consists out of a lot of impulsive texts i've written within a low period in my life. I printed out all these texts and constructed a new text with it. I've backed it up with guitar and backing vocals, to be able to express more emotion.
For me this performance was an investigation in how to turn negative energy in to something beautiful. Inspired by musicians like Ren makes music, billie Eilish(not my responsibility) and Macklemore (wings).
But I was also in interested in how to construct an emotional experience for an audience.
